BMDH Arts and Cultural Program began in 2012 with the development of an Arts and Cultural Plan. HARC team working on the plan’s development included local residents that were trained to assist in the action research.
HARC’s planning team were: Marily Cintra, Malcolm Cooke, Martha Fernandez, Louise McKenzie, Stephany Bayly, Robyn Caughlan, Gisele Kerbage, Malathy Uthayachadran, Quoc Tran Duong, Rabia Azizi, Shalini Rajesh and Sonal Chatrath.
HARC is now implementing the plan which includes a comprehensive program aiming at creating connections between the local communities, the hospital
Nepean Hospital is a public hospital and is part of Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District. It is located in Western Sydney, at the base of the Blue Mountains in Penrith, one of the fastest growing areas in Sydney. Each year, Nepean Hospital provides more than 600,000 outpatients services.
Nepean Hospital Arts and Cultural Program began in 1998 with the redevelopment of the South Block. HARC manages the ongoing program that developed since the first redevelopment. During 2013- 2014 the new East Block and the new Mental Health Unit were completed
Current projects in development are the window art works for the Nepean Cancer Centre Day Oncology, Staff area and corridor to the Day Oncology
